ONGOING PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
THAT NEED SUPPORT FOR COMPLETION
SITUATION AS OF 15.08.2011
I. CHRISTIAN CENTER MEPHIBOSHETH - 3 sections:
1. Sports Field for people with disabilities
2. Race track
3. Rehabilitation Gym
Achieved so far = 55% - 60%
1. Sports Field = equipped 90%
FUNDS REQUIRED FOR:
a. Finishing the surroundings
b. Equipment needed for planned activities
2. Race track = achieved 50%
FUNDS REQUIRED FOR:
a. Building a pavement length: 130 m; width: 3 m => 390 m (4198 sq feet)
3. Rehabilitation Gym = achieved 80%
We use the Conference Room as a multipurpose hall.
FUNDS REQUIRED FOR:
a. Room facilities
b. Purchasing needed equipment for the rehabilitation gymnastic
II. MEPHIBOSHETH CHRISTIAN CENTER:
A. DISABELED PEOPLE TRANSPORT PROJECT to the meetings that take place at the associations center, twice a week:
Tuesday 17:00 19:00
17-18 = sport activities
19-20 = spiritual activities
Friday 16:00 18.30
Educational activities: medical and spiritual education, fellowship, counseling and more.
NEEDS:
a. Financial support for transport from homes to the center and back. Fuel assessed cost = 100 lei/day.
b. Volunteers persons who would help people with disabilities
B. INITIATING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES INTO THE USE OF COMPUTERS PROJECT first demonstrations and schedules for people willing to learn will start on 23.08.2011
NEEDS:
a. Installing and preparing the computers received as donation
b. Setting up an internet network
c. Offering transportation for people unable to arrive to the associations center by themselves
d. Covering the expenses with instructors and other needed materials.
C. WHEELCHAIR REPAIRING CENTER PROJECT improving the preservation conditions of the repaired and reconditioned wheelchairs
FUNDS REQIRED FOR:
a. Building renovation: insulation and appropriate furnishing
b. Purchasing equipment and tools for repairs.
Results and motivation: serving a total of 500-600 people annually.
